Early in the 1930's two local Cornish families were joined together when a young Trenoweth and a young Pender were married and bought a cottage in Mousehole to start life together. They never moved again and now their granddaughters take loving care of the house they used to visit when they were little.
Tre-Pen has authentic items which hint at its fishing history, original art and limited edition prints giving an insight into the family that lived there and the history of their beloved village. The interior is now a perfect blend of traditional and modern providing comfortable accommodation right in the heart of the village with a nice sitting out area close to everything Mousehole has to offer. Use of a parking space a short distance from the cottage can be arranged- please request when booking.
Set within easy walk of the Ship Inn, restaurants, cafes, galleries and everything Mousehole has to offer including the safe little beaches in the harbour. Traditional combined with modern amenities including house ipad and bluetooth Bose speakers. Safe enclosed outside space in front of the cottage which is set on a classic narrow windey street.
The whole ground floor is open plan so you can chat to the cook and watch as your meal makes it's way to the vintage dining table. If the weather's nice you can sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine in the courtyard with plants and flowers springing from pots.
You'll feel special sitting in the main bedroom enjoying the view over St Clement's Isle to Mounts Bay and when you step into the bathroom things take another step up as there's a modern high end walk in shower with sink & wc to match. Cot available with occupancy of two- not available if 3 people are staying.

"We have had a good week in Mousehole - it's the perfect base for coastal walking in beautiful West Cornwall! The cottage is well equipped and comfortable, and it was good to be able to park at Fran's. Many thanks to you."
"What a beautiful cottage in an idyllic location. We have totally fallen in love with this place. Firstly, the cottage - gorgeous decor with lovely cushions and warm blankets. The open plan downstairs works really well and the kitchen is well equipped (although there are so many lovely places to eat out).
Gorgeous beds that you will struggle to get out of because they are so comfortable. And that view when you open the curtains. Fabulous."
"We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. We loved Mr. Tortoise next door - he was definitely a highlight. The shower was AMAZING and we didn't want to leave it. Also the blanket on the double bed was so cosy, I will getting one of those."
"Hi Fran - we absolutely loved the cottage ... really missing the views from the bedroom. We spent a lovely week and fully enjoyed sitting out in front with our mini bbq and the famous tortoise talking to everybody. I totally appreciated the mix of old and new in the property. It was a lovely week of bliss."
"Dear Fran and Ruth - Thank you for a wonderful few days in your lovely cottage. We love the views from the bedrooms and also the old table and chairs! I'm to glad that we were able to book Tre Pen at short notice. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Cornwall."
"Thank you Fran and Ruth for our loely relaxing stay at your comfy, cozy cottage. All so lovely, near to the village and we didn't expect the sea view from the bedroom. Flowers and scones and jam a lovely touch! Thinking of booking again for next year!"
